EFCC Storms Jigawa, arrests Governor Badaru’s Ex- Commissioner
The Special Operation Team of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC had stormed Jigawa state and whisked away the former state commissioner for local government Alhaji Aminu Ahmed Kanta Babura.
Aminu Ahmed Kanta served as commissioner for local government, Commissioner for Land and Regional Planing and also special adviser on political affairs under Governor Badaru Abubakar’s administration was said to have been taken to EFCC headquarter Abuja.
The former commissioner who is a close political ally to Governor Badaru is the All Progressive Congress APC candidate for the seat of member representing Garki/Babura federal constituency in the state.
Even though the reasons for his arrest by the EFCC were not yet available but it may not be unconnected to his stewardship in office and relationship with other political gladiators in the state.
