The new Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 14, comprising Katsina and Kaduna States Command AIG Edward Chuka Egbuka has assumed duty in Katsina.
This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer of Zone 14 Headquaters Katsina ASP Shehu Suleiman.
The statement said the the new AIG hailed from Ezinitte Local Government Area of Imo State and was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1988.
ASP Suleiman noted that the AIG will guide and direct the two commands to fine-tune previous strategies to combat banditry, Kidnapping, terrorism and other heinous crimes in the zone.
The statement quoted the newly posted Assistant Inspector General of Police as warning politicians to avoid utterances and actions capable of overheating polity.
