Katsina state Government has reaffirmed commitment to continue providing all the required support to the state Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp to discharge its constitutional functions diligently in the state.
The State Governor Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari disclosed this when he visited the Commandant General of The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp Dr.Ahmad Abubakar Audi at the Headquarters of the Corp in Kuje, Abuja.
The governor said the essence of the visit is to congratulate the new Commandant General over his appointment as the chief security officer of the Corp
He described the NSCDC Commandant General as committed and intellectual person especially during his stay in Katsina as the Commandant of Civil Defence Training College.
Responding, the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi acknowledged the support being given to katsina state command and Civil Defence Training Institute by Governor Aminu Bello Masari to enable them in discharging the mandate effectively in the state.
He said during his two stay as the Commandant of NSCDC Training College in Katsina, a lot of logistics support were offered from the state government towards the development of the Institute.
The Commandant General said from 2019 to date NSCDC had succeeded in recruiting seven thousand Personnels out of the ten thousand approved by the federal government.
He revealed that out of the seven thousand recruited a substantial number of Katsina state indegenes were into the service.
