Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has attributed delay in the distribution of voting materials in Kontagora for the local government council elections to attack on Zungeru _Tegina road by bandits.The Governor stated this after casting his vote for local government council elections some few minutes after two oclock in the afternoon at his polling unit in Kontagora local government council.Alh Abubakar Sani Bello however expressed satisfaction with the turn out of electorates from his area in addition to the peaceful conduct of the exercise.According to him his administration had given a level playing field for all political parties to participate freely without harassment and intimidation.On local government autonomy Alh Abubakar Sani Bello said he was not worried with the issue stressing that he has given autonomy to all the local government councils in Niger state since twenty fifteen when he assumed duty as Governor.In all though the turn out of voters for local government councils election in the state has been very low general conduct of the elections were peaceful and orderly.
