Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has called on Women folks not to mortgage their permanent voters’ Cards ahead of February, and March general elections.He made the remarks while addressing Peoples Democratic Party PDP supporters in Rabah and Wurno local government areas when the Party’s Gubernatorial campaign train visited the two areas .Tambuwal said he is highly appreciative of the large turnout of women in the two local government areas, adding that women constitute a significant percentage in any election conducted in Nigeria.He alleged that some opposition politicians in the state are making frantic efforts to collect women’s PVCs in the rural areas in exchange for money to deprive them of voting in the forthcoming general elections. Tambuwal told the PDP supporters to use their vote to free themselves from the shackles of poverty, hunger, and insecurity that had shortchanged the socioeconomic and security development of the country. According to him, Atiku Abubakar is the answer to the present economic predicaments facing the country. He added that with Ubandoma as Gubernatorial candidate for the state and other elected members of national and States Assemblies, good governance is assured in Sokoto state The National campaign DG of the PDP said his party will create an atmosphere where foreign investors will be guaranteed of their investment .Earlier in an address to the gathering, the State Party Chairman, Alhaji Bello Aliyu Goronyo commended the leadership of the PDP in Rabah and Wurno for the large turnout of party supporters at the campaign venues.He said PDP would continue to provide excellent and purposeful leadership to the people of Sokoto state devoid of corruption and nepotism.The campaign rallies however witnessed the presentation of flags to candidates standing for election under the platform of the PDP in the two council areas.Also in his remarks, Alhaji Hassan Rabah, PDP House of Representatives candidate called on the people of Rabah and Wurno federal constituency to massively vote for PDP and its candidates in the forthcoming general elections.According to him, APC has nothing to show aside hardship and poverty that’s ravaged the entire country.The house of representatives hopeful emphasized that voting PDP in the forthcoming general elections is saying goodbye to insecurity, economic and abject poverty that is threatening the corporate existence of Nigeria as a nation, adding that, the party presidential flag bearer Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is security conscious.NASIR MALALI
