The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC sayd it’s the only body empowered by constitution of the Counctry and the Electoral Act 2022.
This Contained in a press release signed by the Administrative Secretary INEC Katsina State Office Isah Magaji Gummi and made available to our newsroom.
The statement explaned that the Commission will embarked on the issuance of the Permanent Voter Cards PVCs to registered persons across the country on Monday 12th December, 2022, and it expected to be completed on Sunday 22nd January 2023.
It further said the collection of PVCs is designed to conducted in three stages, Local Government Area Offices of INEC from 12 December, 2022 to 6- January, 2023, Registartaion Area Level 6 January to 15 January, 2023 and Local Government Areas Offices of INEC from 15th to 22nd January, 2023
The statement therefore uged for all registrants to collec their Permanemnt Voter Cards at their respective registration areas in their various Local Government Areas between 9:00am 3:00pm daily including Sartudays and Sundays.
In consonance the Independent National Electoral Commssion INEC Katsina State Office through its Resident Electoral Commssioner Professor Yahaya Makarfi Ibrahim call on all registartants to head to their various registration areas to collect their PVCs so as to exercise their civic responsibilities.
