Kwara state Police command has arrested three suspected human traffickers and rescued forty one children.In a statement by the command spokesman Okasanmi Ajayi said a detachment of policemen on special security assignment intercepted the trio of Musa Ayuba, Jeremiah Muda, and Luka Ayuba, all of Bangi village via Kotongura, Niger State.According to the statement the suspects were intercepted on Okolowo ,Ilorin-Jebba road with 41 young boys and girls (22 boys and 19 girls) with their age ranges between five and fifteen years, while waiting for a lorry that will convey them to their destination in IlorinThe statement explained that during interrogation the suspects claimed to be on their way from Niger State to Ilorin to meet a pastor to enroll the children in a yet-to-be-determined school.The statement advise parents and guardians to avoid releasing their children to unknown or deceitful child traffickers,adding that the children might be used as house helps and other despicable endeavours, which is against the child rights laws.The statement maintained that all the suspects will be charge to court as soon as investigations are concluded.ENDREL/ALI MUHAMMAD RABIU
