
Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara State has handed over 450 houses to the Nigeria labour Congress, NLC for onward distribution to state civil servants.Governor Matawalle announced this while presenting the keys of the houses to NLC Chairman at Daza Housing Estate in Gusau local government area of the state.Bello Muhammad Matawalle said the houses would be given to the state civil servants from grade level 1-7 with the subsidy of thirty percent of the total amount.He added that, the construction of one thousand housing units would also be flag off this week for state the state senior staff .The Governor also expressed satisfaction on the construction and dualization of roads and other social amenities provided in estate and called on the beneficiaries reciprocate the gesture by supporting government policy and programmes.Governor Matawalle also expressed worry on how the civil servants whose dedicated themselves to serving the state end off without having a shelter, and assured his administration commitment to the welfare of civil servants.In his remark, the NLC Chairman Zamfara State Chapter, Comrade Sani Halliru commended the efforts of the state governor for alleviating the suffering of the state civil servants especially with the gesture of this kind.He expressed his appreciation for approving the long awaited thirty thousand naira minimum wage as well as releasing the November and December salary of the state civil servants and that of local government and education authority.END SANI DUTSINMA.
