The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has distributed sensitive materials in the thirteen local government areas of nasarawa state.
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner Dr. Uthman Ajidagba, disclosed this to newsmen shortly after the distribution of the sensitive materials in lafia, the State Capital.
He explained that, the materials were distributed in the presence of officials of political parties and their candidates participating in the elections as well as security personnel and INEC officials.
According to him, sufficient sensitive materials such as BVAS, which have been configured according to the polling units, as well as customized result sheets.
Dr. Uthman Ajidagba assured the
accredited domestic observers of the commission’s readiness to conduct the Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Election Free Fair credible.
He explained that the commission was hundred percent ready administratively to conduct the election across over 3, 245 polling units in the state.
The State Police Commissioner CP Maiyaki Muhammad-Baba, said their men as well as sister security agencies were fully ready to ensure that the election was held in all parts of the state.
The CP added that the police had deployed four thousand two hundred and two personnel to all the 3,245 Polling units in the state to ensure that the exercise took place rancor-free.
He, therefore, warned hoodlums planning to disrupt the election to steer clear or if caught would face the wrath of the law.
