Malam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq and Mr Kayode Alabi have been sworn-in as Governor and Deputy Governor of Kwara State, for a second term in office.
Chief Judge of the State, Justice Ayodele Abiodun Adebara, administered the oath of office and allegiance, at brief inauguration and swearing in ceremony, held at the Council Chamber of the Kwara State Government House, ilorin.
In his inaugural message, Governor AbdulRazaq thanked the people of Kwara for their support, which returned him for a second term in office.
He assured that the next four years will see to the consolidation of ongoing and new developmental infrastructure and socio economic development across the state.
The governor also said his administration will form partnership with private partners to further bring development to the Kwara South and Kwara Senatorial districts of the state district.
LAGOS STATE
The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has taken the oath of office for his second term as governor.
The Oath of Office, which was administered by the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba, signals the beginning of the governor’s second term of four years.
The governor was sworn in at 11:38 am.

Earlier, the deputy governor of the state, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, took the Oath of Office as Deputy Governor for his second term in office.
KADUNA STATE
Thousands of people have witnessed the swearing in of Senator Uba Sani as the democratically elected governor of Kaduna State.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Judge of Kaduna State, Justice Tukur Muhammad Muazu.
Malam Uba Sani is the Sixth elected governor of Kaduna State from resumption of democratic dispensation from 1999 to date.

While delivering his first speech as the governor of Kaduna State, Malam Uba thanked former governor of the state Malam Nasiru El-Rufai for building a legacy that he would easily key into to ensure that the progress of the state continues.
Senator Uba Sani explained that, his administration would undertake programmes and policies that would encourage creativity and harness the reach diversity of the cosmopolitan nature of the state.
KANO STATE
The New Governor of Kano Engineer Abba Kabir Yusif has been sworn in as the 19th Governor of the state.
The colorful ceremony took place at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kano..
The governor said that his administration would not relent in ensuring that the quality and standard of Education is being uplifted In the state with the aim of having a bright future.
Unconfirmed report says there was mild tension at the swearing-in ceremony of the governor-elect of Kano State, Yusuf Abba, as the stage collapsed.
OYO STATE
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has taken his oath of office and has been sworn in for a second term.
The oath and swearing-in was administered by the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Iyabo Yerima.
After taking the oath of office, he was driven around the stadium to inspect the parade formed by security men.
He is expected to give a speech heralding the commencement of his second term.
The ceremony was graced by the five first class emirs of the state, former governor of Kano Alhaj Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, thousands of the Party Supporters, dignitaries from within and outside of the country.
KEBBI STATE
From Kebbi, the newly elected Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Nasiru Idris and his Deputy, Senator Umar Abubakar, took Oath of office with a promised for all inclusive government irrespective of political party.
The governor, shortly after the oath of office administered by the state Acting Chief Judge, Justice Umar Abubakar said, his government would strived to achieve an agenda of redirection, reconstruction, realignment and restoration which require sacrifices and commitment from all and sundry.

DELTA STATE
From Delta State comes a report that, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori has been sworn in as the fifth democratically elected Governor of the state , and also Sir Monday Onyeme as the deputy Governor.
They took the oath of office and allegiance administered on them by the Delta State Chief Judge, Justice Theresa Diai at the twenty three thousand seat capacity Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba amidst heavy security presence.

Dr Dauda Lawal Dare and Malam Mani Masaman Mudi have been sworn in as new Governor and Deputy Governor of Zamfara State by the state chief judge, justice Kulu Aliyu.
The ceremony took place at the state trade Fair complex bye pass Gusau, Dr Dauda Lawal Dare assured to govern an open door policy for all inclusive government irrespective of political party in order to move the state forward.
