Dr Dauda Lawal Dare and Malam Mani Mummini Masaman Mudi have been sworn in as new Governor and Deputy Governor of Zamfara State by the state chief judge, justice Kulu Aliyu.

The ceremony which took place at the state trade Fair complex bye pass Gusau, Dr Dauda Lawal Dare assured to govern an open door policy for all inclusive government irrespective of political party in order to move the state forward.
According to him, his administration will focus on security, education, health, agriculture for economic development, adding that he will collaborate with foreign investors to achieve the desired objectives.
Dare further explain that, though he inherited empty treasury, but he will do everything possible to ensure that, he develop the state and its people, calling on the people of the state to exercise more patience and give the present administration more time to deliver.
Earlier before the colourful ceremony, the former governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle who was represented by his deputy, Sananata Hassan Nasiha has formally handed over the the state handing over document to the present governor Dauda Lawal.
Nasiha also wish the present administration a successful tenure and called on them to to ensure a peaceful swearing- in ceremony and celebrations.
Highlight of the event was the parade by the Zamfara state Police command.
