A grand durbar ceremony is being held by Emirate and people of Daura to honour the immediate former President of the country, Muhammad Buhari, for a successful tenure as President by of the country.
The ceremony which is being led by the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar and all the District, Ward and Village Heads in the Emirate has witnessed a large turn out of people from Daura and other parts of Katsina and neighboring states to watch the colourful event.
Most key members of the Buhari cabinet are present at the occasion including former Secretary to the Government of the Federation,Mr. boss Mustafa, Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammad, Minister of Finance Hajiya Zainab, that of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Fantami, Defence, Maigari Dingyadi, several Minister of State and a host of others.
Most of the former President’s aides and key appointees also graved the occasion as well as Emirs, former governors, and a high profile delegation from Niger Republic.
All roads and streets leading to the Emir’s palace were filled with crowds watching the durbar procession as they cheered the men on horseback.
President Muhammadu Buhari who waved to the crowds of well-wishers that gathered in thousands to witness the occasion, was in high spirits as he was covered by his guests that came from all parts of the country and beyond, to commemorate the occasion.
