Fuel scarcity has surface in Ilorin,the Kwara state capital and environs .
Many motorist were seen on a long queue at filling station in anticipation of getting fuel.
When Radio Nigeria Correspondent went round Ilorin Metropolis which include Garin Alimi,Taiwo road ,Offa Garage,Murtala Muhammed Way zango and University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital areas many of the filling station are under lock and keyed.
The few filling stations that are dispensing fuel sell between ,two hundred naira per liter to three hundred and fifty naira per liter.
Some residents of Ilorin who spoke with Radio Nigeria expressed displeasure over the development.
They appealed to the federal government to urgently intervene to remove the common man from untold hardship.
Meanwhile Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in a statement by his spokesman Rafiu Ajakaye cautioned oil marketers to avoid imposing needless hardship on the citizens through creation of artificial fuel scarcity across the state.
He said creating artificial scarcity amounts to intentional misrepresentation of the statement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the question of fuel subsidy.
Governor AbdulRazq noted that the Deputy Of Kwara State, Mr. Kayode Alabi will be leading a task force to ensure that no fuel marketer causes undue hardship on the citizens in the State.END
