Katsina state government has banned all mining activities in the state.
The Deputy Governor Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe stated this when the Emir of Katsina Alh Abdulmumini Kabir Usman paid him sallah homage during traditional durbar popularly known as Hawan Bariki at Old government House Katsina.
Malam Faruk Jobe who represented Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda at the event said, government has observed that, mining activities played a vital role in escalating the insecurity in the state.
He said in an effort to compliment the efforts of the security agencies towards securing the state government will employed and train community policing piloting with 8 front lines LGAs.
According to him, state government has made it clear that it will not reconcile with any bandits group as it mot yield any positive result in the pass.
The Deputy Governor who charged security agencies in the state to put heads together in the fight against crimes pledged the total support from the government to conduct their work effectively.
Malam Faruk Jobe spoke extensively on the measures being taken by the government to address insecurity in the state.
On the economy sector, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe explained that, government has designed many policies and programmes that would boost the economy status of the people of the state.
Among them he said is the transformation of the youth craft Village Centre to an institute that will train youth on different businesses for them to employer of labour and to be self defendants.
This according to him, in addition to proper Utilization of dubai Market, shonghai farm, and other places established to promote businesses activities in the state.
Malam Faruk Jobe who solicited for more prayers from people of the state, said people will witness tramendious achievements within the 100 days of the present administration.
Earlier the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman said security issues should be given adequate attention by the present administration as no meaningful development could be achieve with out security.
He said, he has directed all his district heads and other traditional tittle holders not to take security issues lightly.
The Emir who spoke extensively on the importance of the security urged people to intensify prayers for security to prevail in the state.
Alhaji AbdulMumin Kabir Usman also requested the government to take possible measures to promote economic activities of the people of the state.
He also charged people to strive towards fighting drugs abuse in view of it role in committing all social Vices.
The Emir who admonished wealthy individuals to imbibe the habit of assisting less privileged people in the society, charged people to be honest and fair in discharging their daily activities.
