Katsina state Deputy governor Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe has visited some areas affected by flooding as a result of heavy downpour in Katsina metropolis.
The areas visited include Ƙofar Ƙaura underpass, Tudun Katsira and Ƙofar Marusa.
The visit is on the spot accessment of the areas affected.
He said government will engage Engineers from the ministry of works to to access the damage and proper solution to avert the future reoccurrence of the incident.
He also sympathised with the victims and prayed Allah to prevent its reoccurrence in the future.

The Deputy Governor Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe reiterated the commitment of the government towards ensuring protection of people’s lives and property at this rainy season and beyond.
Meanwhile the Deputy has summoned special meeting with officials from ministry of works, SEPA, SEMA and representative of the firm that contacted Ƙofar Ƙaura and Kwaya underpass.
The Deputy Governor Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe said, the meeting is to discuss on the possibility measures that would be taken to address the menace.
