As part of strengthening Civil Service reform,the Katsina State Government will henceforth organise a promotion examination to Civil Servants on Grade Level 13 .
Governor Dikko Umaru Raddah drop the hints during an interview with newsmen at Government House Katsina. .
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy Malan Faruk Lawal Jobe disclosed that the development would enhance service delivery among Civil Servants in the State .
Accordingly, any State Civil Servants on Grade Level 13 will no more be promoted to Grade Level 14 until he or she passed the examination .
While attributing on the recent examination conducted to Permanent Secretaries , Malan Faruk Jobe recalled that it is in line with Civil Service rules adding that some were opportune in the position because of politics .
He maintained that Carrier Civil Servants on Grade Level 16 with at least two years ahead to retire have been given the opportunity to sit for the examination to fill the vacant position of the Permanent Secretaries and other Departments and Agencies in the State .
Meanwhile, Katsina state government has stopped all withdrawals from Revenue Generating Accounts from various ministries, Departments and Agencies.
The Deputy Governor Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe stated this during press briefing in his office.
He said the briefing was called to enlighten people of the on the new policies introduced by the government.
He spoke extensively on the Treasury Single Account TSA introduced by the government saying that the new development will assist Government in having prudent and accountability in governance .
