Katsina State Government has set all modalities for the recruitment of youth into state community watch corps.
The Deputy Governor said this at a formal presentation of forms to eight Local Government Areas facing security challenges as a result of Banditry activities.
Malam Faruk Lawal Jibe said Government will not fold its arms to watch the lingering security challenges continuing in the state.
He noted that government decide to involve traditional rulers, Local Government chairman and members of state assembly from the affected eight Local Government Areas to ensure fair and just recruitment process.
Malam Faruk Lawal Jibe also the selection Comitte at Local Government level shall include, District Heads, Divisional police office officer DPO religious leaders among others.
The Deputy Governor said Committee must fear Allah and make sure that people of good character were recruited and shall not exceed the age of twenty to thirty five years and physically fit
Earlier the secretary to the state Government Architect Ahmad Musa Dangiwa said each Local Government was given three hundred form for each of the eight Local Government Areas.
In an interview Danmusa Local Government chairman Alh Sanusi Dangi Abbas and that of Dandume Alhaji Ahmed NOA and Dandume Local Government member state assembly Alhaji Yahya Mahuta exposed appreciation over the efforts of Government to ensure security of live and properties.
