Katsina state Government has set up a committee to review allocation of shops at Katsina central market.
The state Deputy Governor Malam faruk Lawal Jobe form the committee on behalf of the state Governor immediately after the inspecting the structures at the market.
This followed series of complains received by the Government from traders.
The committee to be chaired by Barrister Mukhtar Aliyu Saulawa Deputy Governor chief of staff Government house.
It has terms of reference which include revisiting allocation of shops to the traders.
Also to find out weather genuine owners of shops affected by previous fire outbreak in the market.
The Deputy Governor also stared that the committee will also study the original master plan of the market to identify illegal structures.
The committee is also mandated to advise on how to espediate construction of drainage within the central market.
Composition of the committee include representative of min of environment, traders associations,emirate council, KUPDA, SEPA, DSS, and police.
The committee is given two weeks to submit its report.
