Mis Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma has again apologised to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB.
Miss Mmesoma read the letter of apology at an investigative hearing organised by the House of Representatives Adhoc Committee to investigate her manipulation of UTME.
She also appealed to JAMB to temper justice with Mercy and recall the 3 years ban imposed on her.
“This is the first time in my academic history that I am involved in any type of scandal. It is not in my character and I wholeheartedly plead for mercy” Miss Ejikeme said.
Earlier, the Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede reaffirmed that Miss Mnesoma Ejikeme manipulated her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME result.
Professor Ishaq said after careful investigation, it was proven and discovered that the candidate scored 249 and not 369 as widely claimed.
He said that since the year 2020, the Board had put up mechanism to curb identify theft.
Prof Oloyede also said that it was practically impossible for anyone to prove that fake results come from JAMB.
He said that the examination number presented by Mnesoma was fake, her sort code was fake
” She attempted to deceive out system but the system gave her her actual results. We believe that nothing fake can come from us. The name of the center she paraded had changed since 2019.” Prof Oloyede said.
The Chairman of the committee, Sada Soli, said the investigation was initiated to get to the root of the matter.
Other Members of the committee commended Mnesoma Ejikeme for coming out clean and urged JAMB to tamper justice with mercy.
They also advised JAMB to fix its system to curb lapses.
