Minister of Defence, Dr Muhammad Badaru Abubakar says his Ministry is fully committed to providing necessary support to enable the Armed Forces of Nigeria rid the country of security challenges.
He stated this today when he led a delegation to headquarters, Nigerian Airforce, Abuja.
Dr Muhammad Badaru Abubakar expressed satisfaction with the substantial collaboration between the Ministry and the tri-services, which has been instrumental to the notable achievements made in recent times.
The Minister also expressed his confidence in the leadership of the NAF, under Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar and other services, as they jointly work towards providing an enabling environment for all Nigerians to move freely, without fear of intimidation.
Responding, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar assured that the NAF is fully committed to upholding democratic values and safeguarding the territorial integrity of Nigeria.
In furtherance to this objective, the NAF has intensified air operations to combat criminal elements, curbing their operational freedom and fostering favourable conditions for successful ground operations by troops.
Air Marshal Abubakar commended President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support, and in meeting the needs of the service.
According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Defence Minister was accompanied on the visit by the Minister of State for Defence, Chief of Defence Staff, Directors and other top officials of the Ministry.
