The Deputy Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy-NDA, Air Vice Marshal Sunday Aneke has charged personnel of the Nigerian Airforce to remain passionate in improving all professional and personal endeavours.
He gave the charge at the end of the year regimental dinner of the Air Training Command of the Nigerian Airforce held in Kaduna.
Air Vice Marshal Sunday Aneke noted that with continued training and re-training of personnel and provision of needed equipment, the military had evolved from its darkest moments since the commencement of war against insurgency and other criminalities to a position of dominant strength.
He therefore charged them to focus on military principles of professionalism and effectiveness, with a view to validating the trust placed on them by the Nigerian people.
Air Vice Marshal Aneke stressed the need for NAF personnel to exhibit gallantry as men and women of the service, especially at this crucial time of unprecedented challenges to the security, stability and well-being of Nigeria.
Earlier in his remarks, Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command Kaduna, Air Vice Marshal Nnamdi Ananaba explained that the event was held to appreciate personnel for their efforts and sacrifices in the outgoing year and motivate them for the tasks ahead in the years ahead.
He pointed out that the Command had produced officers and men who have contributed immensely for the progress and unity of Nigeria since its inception.
Air Vice Marshal Ananaba who acknowledged few challenges in the course of its activities, however noted that the challenges did not threaten the successes recorded by the Command.
The event was attended by Commanders and Commandants of Co-located units of NAF in Kaduna, serving and retired senior officers, members of paramilitary organisations as well as Airforce Officers from the Republic of Ghana.
