The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps-NSCDC has charged its personnel to double their efforts in the fight against crimes and criminality in Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
Kaduna State Commandant of the Corps, Mr Idris Yahaya Adah gave the charge at the decoration ceremony of newly promoted officers held at the Command’s headquarters in Kaduna State.
Mr Idris Yahaya Adah explained that promotion comes with enormous responsibilities, hence the need for the officers to brace up for the challenges ahead, and be intentional in the discharge of their duties.
The Commandant pointed out that the 371 newly promoted officers of the Command is the highest so far recorded since the inception of the Command.
Mr Idris Adah attributed the feat to the unwavering commitment of the Minister of Interior and that of the Commandant General of the Corps in clearing the backlog of outstanding/overdue officers.
On the yuletide season, Mr Adah said the Command has sensitized and deployed over 2000 personnel in the 23 Local Government Areas of the State to ensure a hitch-free celebration during the period.
He called on parents/guardians to prevail on their children/wards to avoid criminal activities, warning that anyone caught would face the full wrath of the law.
On synergy with sister security agencies in the State, the Commandant disclosed that the corps enjoy a harmonious working relationship aimed at improving security situation in the State.
