Nigerian Army School of Artillery records successes in 2023 Training Activities
Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Artillery-NASA, Major General Tariweriye Gagariga has recorded tremendous successes in last year’s training activities.
He stated this at the annual West African Social Activities-WASA held at the school’s training ground in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Major General Tariweriye Gagariga explained that last year the school engaged in a series of impactful indoor and outdoor activities such as the conduct of EXERCISE VULCAN GLOW IX.
The Commandant pointed out that the School was able to meet the 2023 curriculum and turned out proficient gunners for the artillery corps.
General Gagariga disclosed that in the period under review, the school also witnessed increased collaboration with sister security agencies to mitigate security challenges and emerging threats.
In his message to the event, Governor Uba Sani commended the artillery corps for maintaining professional standards, ensuring security within the locality and the cordial relationship among all security agencies.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, ministry for internal security and home affairs, Malam Kabiru Mainasibi, the Governor assured of the commitment of the State Government towards providing mobility to security agencies for effective service delivery.
Governor Uba Sani urged the school to remain professional and sustain loyalty to constituted authority in the 2024 training year.
The West African Social Activities-WASA was adopted after Independence as part of regimentation in the Army, as an annual event to mark the end of activities of the year and usher in the new year.
The event, which featured colourful cultural dances and other displays, also had in attendance, heads of various security agencies in Kaduna State.
