*NDA Officers Association donate Palliative To Neighbouring Communities*
The Nigerian Defence Academy Officers Wives Association-NDAOWA have donated palliatives to residents of neighbouring communities in the spirit of NDA’s diamond jubilee celebrations.
Presenting the items, Co-ordinator of NDAOWA Mrs Ruth Ochai explained that the gesture was aimed at appreciating the communities for their support to the academy over the years.
Represented by Mrs Jessica Awolo, the co-ordinator noted that part of NDAOWA’s mandate was to give back to the communities for their support and co-operation to the institution.
Mrs Ochai expressed the Association’s determination to continue to support humanity for the progress and development of the NDA and Nigeria as a whole.
In their separate remarks, village head of Zango community, as well as ward head of Doka, all in Afaka ward in Igabi Local Government Council, Mallam Shu’aibu Abubakar and Mallam Buhari Ibrahim said as host communities, they have lived harmoniously with the NDA for the past sixty years.

They pointed out that they have never experienced any major security breach, and that the NDA had always responded to distress calls swiftly in case of any emergency.
While expressing their profound appreciation to the association, the two village heads disclosed that the gesture was the first of its kind, adding that it would go a long way in cushioning their plights, as well as cementing the bond of relationship.
Some of the items distributed to the communities included assorted bags of rice, beans, clothing materials, writing materials for school children, and cash tokens among others.
